Egg Freezing

Keeping the gametes and embryos for future use with the best cryopreservation technique

Egg freezing, also known as oocyte cryopreservation, is one of the most promising treatment options in fertility preservation. The treatment begins with a procedure to stimulate the ovaries so the eggs can be collected. The eggs are then fast-frozen using a technique called vitrification, which quickly transforms them to a glass-like state.

Conrady A.R.T. Clinic’s expert embryologists will incubate and prepare your eggs for freezing immediately after the egg retrieval. We only freeze mature, viable eggs, because they are the only ones that can become fertilized. After they’re frozen, your eggs will be transferred to a specialized facility until you’re ready to use them.

Egg freezing allows you to:

  • Protect the eggs from invasive medical treatments, such as chemotherapy or radiation treatments
  • Preserve the eggs for when you’re ready to have a baby
  • Reduce anxiety about the “biological clock”
  • Increase the chances of conception through IVF in the future
